Sahara’s studio apartments are 2 to 2.5 times the size of the typical UofA dorm room.
The majority of Sahara’s studio apartments are 24’ by 14’, or 336 square feet.
Often times residence halls have a community bathroom that is shared by everyone in that wing,
and if there are any kitchen facilities, they are community kitchens and not in the dorm room,
or even nearby. Sahara Apartments provides a full bath and a kitchen in every apartment.
Our rates for a full STUDIO APARTMENT, for an 11.5 month lease are lower than what you would have to pay for a mere ROOM at the UofA Residence Halls for only 8 months of residency.
The UofA requires that you vacate your dorm room during
winter break (December 20- January 11), and you must vacate during the summer as
well. At Sahara Apartments you can stay year round.
